This 18 inch high contemporary end table was designed to exemplify the structural and aesthetic qualities of the number 3. The original inspiration stemmed from the popular musician, Jack White, and his profound love for the number. The minimalist geometric structure was intended to lend great focus to the concept of '3,' while displaying a rustic, stained patina, reminiscent of White's early and beautifully gritty blues music.

PROCESS

Construction focused heavily on the use of the number '3' - The best of the table consisted of three identically sheared and bent sheet steel components, joined by three welds. The table's top consisted of three identical sheared sheet steel parallelograms, woven together to create a reinforced equilateral triangle. The table's top and bottom were then joined by groupings of three brass rivets, placed accordingly for both structural and aesthetic reasons.
